Pastor Tony VanManen is originally from Nampa, Idaho, where his grandparents had a local dairy. He is married to the former Amy Robertson, and they enjoy doing ministry together. They have four children: Kody (married to McKayla), Dawson, Autumn, and Sophie.
After attending Bible college in Oklahoma, Pastor Tony and Amy ministered in churches in Texas and Colorado, and briefly helped in a church plant in Arkansas. They have been serving in the Treasure Valley since 1998, and have been blessed to be at Centennial since 2006.
Pastor Tony is the Lead Pastor and Teaching Pastor, as well as the principal for Centennial Baptist School.
Melissa serves as our Student Ministries Director. Melissa is married to her husband Shane and they have two boys ages 10 and 13. She is an Idaho native, born in raised in Idaho, she graduated in 2001 from Meridian High School and attended classes at Boise State University and Eternity Bible College. She has served in youth ministry in various capacities for the last 10 years. In 2015 she came on staff full-time at Centennial as the Student Ministries Director. In addition to her work with the youth ministry at the church, Melissa also serves as the Assistant Principal for our school ministry where she counsels, teaches, and engages children from ages three to eighteen.
Amy is our Administrative Assistant, and Children's Ministry Director. She is also a mom of 4 kids, one married, one in college, one in high school, and one in kindergarten. Amy is married to our lead pastor, Tony, whom she met at Bible college. In her spare time she runs a successful jewelry business, which earns her and Pastor Tony trips around the world. She loves to be a smiling face to greet you and help you in any way she can!
